How do I contact the library?Contact information can be found at the top of the left-side menu, or click here. |

How do I access my V-Cat account? You need two things to access your V-Cat account online: your library barcode number and your PIN. A link directly into the V-Cat account login is located on the top menu, the link furthest to the right. It is called My Account. Barcode: Enter the full number, with no spaces or hyphens. PIN: If you have not set up a PIN, enter the last four digits of your phone number. Once you are in your account, you will see a page entitled Account Overview. In this overview, you can see the items you have checked out, the hold requests which are still outstanding, any blocks you may have on your record, and your profile. In your profile, you can update your address, phone number, email address or change your PIN. |

How do I renew items? You can only renew an item once. Renew online by clicking on My Account on the APL Home page (see the far right item on the top menu) You will be prompted for your barcode number and your PIN number. If you have not set up a PIN, enter the last four digits of your phone number. From the Account Overview screen, select Items Out. A list of items you have checked out will appear. Select the item(s) you wish to renew by placing a check mark in the box preceding the title. Then click the Renew button and the new due date will be displayed. You will see an error message if the item was not renewed. NOTE: You will not be able to renew an item online if (1) it is already overdue; (2) someone has placed a hold on the item; or (3) you have already renewed it once before. |

What is a PIN? What if I can't remember it?The PIN is your Personal Identification Number. Asking you to enter both your barcode number and PIN is a security measure. If you lose your library card, no one will be able to access your account without the PIN. You, of course, would never write your PIN on your library card, right? If you don't remember ever setting up a PIN, enter the last four digits of your phone number. If that works, great! But we also recommend changing that too-easy-to-figure-out PIN to one which is more difficult. It must be a 4-digit number, no alpha characters. If the phone number digits don't work and you're at a loss, you'll have to stop in the library and have us look it up for you. For your security, we will NOT give out PINs on the phone or through email. |

What are the hours of the library?Regardless of whether you're looking for Antigo's or Elton's library hours, you will find them on the Library Information menu above, or you may click here. |

How do I find a proctor for an exam? The library proctors a great number of exams, for those taking online college classes, for homeschooling students, for business people taking classes, etc. Your school will dictate exactly how you need to set this up, but your contact at the library is Cynthia. She will fill out and sign the necessary paperwork. To contact her, send her an email or call the library at 715-623-3724. |

How do I recommend a purchase? You just heard the greatest rave about an upcoming book, and you want to read it! You've checked the online catalog, V-Cat, and Antigo does not appear to own the item or have it on order. You can fill out a Recommendation for Purchase online, if you like. Or, if you're in the library, you can stop by the desk and ask for this short form. |
