Storefront Scavenger Hunt

During the month of July, we would like to have a storefront scavenger hunt. So how would that work?

Participating businesses would have the shadow of a book character hanging somewhere near the front of their store. People who decide to play the game will get a sheet with all the pictures of the characters and a list of the places they may be. They visit the businesses and write the name of the character they find at that business on their sheet.

Everyone who finishes the hunt and submits their sheet will be entered into a drawing where we will give away things from the participating businesses.  Our hope is to have each business that participates provide at least one item for this drawing.

Food Coupons for Take and Make Bags

This summer we would like to put food coupons inside of our take and make kits that we send home with families. Each week we will distribute 75 kits.  If your business can provide 75 coupons for a free donut, ice cream or other item that would be so great!

Book Bucks and End of Summer Book Fair: Cash Donations Needed

There is a lot of research that points to the value of children having home libraries as well as visiting the library.

With that in mind we are having the kids earn book bucks this summer as a reward for completing a variety of activities.

The week before school starts, we will have a book fair where they can use their book bucks to buy new books provided to us at deep discounts from Scholastic Literacy Partnerships and a few other sources.

We really need support for this effort with cash donations to help us purchase these books.

Let Us Know How You Can Help

To help us plan, we are asking that all businesses interested in supporting us this summer respond to this linked form by April 15. We will be in touch by the end of April to coordinate donations, etc.
