The Friends of the Antigo Public library is now an official unincorporated nonprofit association. The Friends main goal will be to support programs, volunteerism and advocacy. The funds they raise will support programs and special materials for all ages. The group will begin taking memberships on April 9 during National Library Week. On the 9th we will have Friends and Foundation Day with tables set up from 10:30 – 4:30 where you can chat with leaders from these two groups and learn more about how they support the community goal of having a vibrant library. Annual membership dues will be as follows:   Family: 25 dollars, Individual 15 dollars, Seniors 60+ 10 dollars.  You can also support the Friends on April 27 when they host a bake sale as part of our Earth Day celebration.

We are grateful to the members of the coordinating team for their work in getting things started: Mary Griffin, Mary Jo Kawalski, Chet Haatvedt, Samantha Solin, Jenni Fregin, Vicki Kakes, Jeff Demlow.
